That’s it, the big event’s date has been set.
The code word is TTT: Taco, Tandem and Ti…..well, I guess we haven’t scheduled the last one, so so far we will have tacos and tandems. hopefully the Ti** will will smell the Tacos and come.
save the date for Saturday 22nd, mark your calendar, write it backward on your forehead, spraypaint it on your car. do whatever it takes.
The whole SQYC will be on deck and taking application. some mild hazing may be in order.

Commodore Tonto here letting you know the 2009 season is off to a great start. The clubhouse is getting a face lift and membership has increased. Been logging some great hours in the water sailing in just shorts and a rash guard. The only way to end a great sesh is with well deserved drinks and rowdy conversations on our new deck. Gearing up for the Fun Drive and purchasing some new tandem windsurfing boards for the SQYC’s Death Row Regatta. Stay tuned for more on our infamous event.
We at the San Quentin Yacht Club we are very excited for this years season. So far we have logged a grand total of one 1/2 hour of sailing and boy was it cold. Vice Commodore Papa Smurf has yet to unfurl his pennant but as always we look forward to his port call. Commodore Tonto Goldstein has been commissioned again by an out bound steamer and we are all excited to read his D.R. from the Nordic regions. Last week had an impromptu round table discussion with Ensign Chunky Monkey about the difficulties of the Merchant Marine, he got drunk and all was better. Cheers to all. T
